Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of contrast-enhanced sonography in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant focal hepatic lesions. Methods Malignant(91 cases) and benign(63 cases) lesions of the liver were examined by GE-LOGIQ9 and Technos MPX DU8 color Doppler ultrasound system with contrast-enhanced ultrasonography software and sonovue. The engorged process and type, enhanced extent of hepaticparenchyma and masses were recorded. Results 96.7%(88/91) malignant lesions showed contrast enhancement in the early phase, and 97.8%(89/91) malignant lesions showed hypoechoic in the late phase. 50.8%(32/63) benign lesions showed contrast enhancement in the early phase, and 96.8%(61/63) benign lesions showed isoechoic and hyperechoic in the late phase. Conclusion Contrast-enhanced sonography with sonovue has a greater clinical value in the differentiation of benign and malignant liver lesions.
