Abstract

China's social culture reform in the era of 1911 Revolution involved education system, protection of human rights and rooting out backward feudal customs, etc. The achievements of this reform are positive but should not be exaggerated. For judging from the historical conditions at early Republic of China, only limited effect of the reform was noticeable. The reform effected in limited territories and mainly concentrated unbalancedly in highly communicable areas.Rural areas and some cities were beyond its influence. The major causes for this end, among others, are the gaps between reform and its social basis and social psychology and changing folklore. This lesson should be preoccupied with.
