Abstract
Based on historical experiences of the world economy, this paper attempts to prove that the traditional Chinese civilization is the reason for the recession in China after the Industrial Revolution took place all over the world.China's fast economic growth over the last three decades is not because of the traditional regression but because of the Reform and Opening policies. Therefore, the right choice is to deepen reforms, rather than returning to the traditions. There must be common rules for the reform, including that on ideology,on ownership system, and the revolutionary reorganization of social production units.Accordingly, today's China is at the beginning of the reform and opening. To deepen the reforms is the only way to boost the great rejuvenation.
