Abstract
According to one rock burst accident happened in a fully-mechanized coalface of some mine, this paper analyzed its reasons from aspects of geological factors and mining technology. The results showed that strong rock burst liability of coal mass itself was the intrinsic factor of the rock burst, and hard and thick roof was the force source of the rock burst. The delayed supporting after coal cutting resulted in the transfer of roof pressure to coal wall of coalface.Unreasonable selection of support types leaded to retaining ground coal in coalface, which became the exit of energy release. The rock parting of the coalface resulted in stress concentration at local place, which made the rock burst more dangerous.
