Abstract

On the bases of comprehensive analyses of historic development,characteristics of landscape and factors of overall urban design of Nantong,this article studyed framwork system of overall urban design of Nantong whose destination are protecting the features ofFirst Modern City in Chinaand stressing the special scenery factors of Mountain-Water City and By Yangtze River City from four aspects such as controlling of city space structrue,guiding of characteristics of city features,guiding of city open space and guiding of city scenery factors.
