Abstract
Objective:To determine the ultraviolet spectrophotometric method for the anthraquinones and high-performance liquid chromatography method for the alkaloid in Piyan Lotion.Method:The contents of total anthraquinones and alkaloid in Piyan Lotion were measured by direct ultraviolet spectrophotomet and high-performance liquid chromatography method with the contents of emodin and berberine as the markers,respectively.The absorption values of the sample solution were measured at 505 nm and 345 nm,respectively.Result:The absorptivities of anthraquinones and alkaloid were linearly correlated with concentrations,respectively.Conclusion:Direct ultraviolet spectrophotometry and HPLC methods are accurate,sensitive,quick and have little cost and they can be used to determine total anthraquinones and alkaloid in Piyan Lotion.
