Abstract

Objective:To investigate the contaminated condition of legionella pneumophila in cooling water of central air conditioner.Mothods:The polymerase chain reaction was developed for detecting the specific DNA fragment of legionella pneumophila MIP gene in samples from cooling water of central air conditioner.And the microorganism in the samples was also isolated by the vitro cultured method with BCYE culture medium.Results:There are 12 samples(40%) could detected the legionella pneumophila MIP gene with the PCR as well as only 6 samples(20%) could isolated the pathogen with vitro cultuer in 30 samples.The sensitivity of the two methods showed significantly difference( P 0 05).Conclusion:The legionella pneumophila pullution in cooling water of central air conditioner is prevalent.
