Application of lymph node dissection of central group for differentiated thyroid carcinoma at the stage of cN_0

The objective of this study was to discuss the extent of the lymph node dissection in differentiated thyroid carcinoma at the stage of cN0.Forty-seven patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma that had undergone lymph node dissection of central group were reviewed.The throid peploses were invaded by cancer cells in 18 cases and were not in 29 caces.Follow-up vistit was done in all the patients.The median time of follow-up was 38 months.The results reveal that the application of lymph node dissection of central group in differentiated thyroid carcinoma at the stage of cN0 is feasoble.
