On the Combination Problems of Urban and Rural Pension Insurance

Abstract
The combination of a new type rural insurance and urban insurance for senior residents is an important step for the overall merger of basic endowment insurance. Base on relevant research,this paper analyzed the problems of urban and rural pension insurance prior to,the issues during and consequences of the combination. It has put forward some policy suggestions from three perspectives-system construction,government responsibility and residents,to promote urban and rural pension insurance system.
