Abstract
The finite element method is used to make calculation of various rise/span ratios,arch/beam rigidity ratios,arch rib plane inclination angles,sectional shapes of hangers and other primary elements,c/c distances of main trusses,lateral connection and deck types of the steel box tied arch bridge.The advantages and disadvantages of the steel box tied arch bridge with different structural parameters are obtained and rational structural form and design parameters of the arch bridge adaptable to the specific conditions of Fuzhou-Xiamen Railway are put forward.
