Abstract
The interference fit joint of shaft and wheel is analysed in detail through Finite Element method, and the shortcoming of elastics method and the advantage of finite element method are mdicated based on the analysis. With FE method, contact edge-effect, the stress concentration caused by contact apexes, can be procured. In this way, the design and the assessment of the interference fit joints with FEA are more practical, hence more reasonable.
