Abstract

Polyethylene glycol tosylate is a useful intermediate for the preparation of the functionalized polyethylene glycol.A series of polyethylene glycol di-tosylates and polyethylene glycol mono-tosylates were synthesized from polyethylene and p-toluenesulfonyl chloride with the yields of products reaching 55%~80%,and the products were characterized by 1HNMR spectrometry.
