Analysis on epidemic characteristics of notifiable communicable diseases from 2005 to 2010 in Zhouqu County

Objective To analyze the trend and epidemic characteristics of notifiable communicable diseases from 2005 to 2010 in Zhouqu County and provide scientific basis for prevention and control of communicable diseases.Methods The data were processed by using Excel 2003 for legal communicable diseases from 2005 to 2010 in Zhouqu County and analyzed by using descriptive epidemiological method.Results There were 2 688 cases of communicable diseases reported accumulatively from January in 2005 to December in 2010 in Zhouqu County,no communicable diseases of the kind of a was reported.Seven types 2 384 cases of the communicable diseases of b were reported accumulatively,average incidence for annual was 305.64/100 000.Eight types 304 cases of the communicable diseases of the kind of c were reported,average incidence for annual was 38.97/100 000.There were 4 deaths cases reported,all of them were tuberculosis,average mortality for annual was 0.49/100 000.The incidence of the top three in the b kind of communicable diseases were tuberculosis,viral hepatitis and diarrhea.The incidence of the top five in the c kind of communicable diseases were mumps,kala-azar,chicken pox,other infectious diarrhea and influenza.Conclusions The communicable diseases of tuberculosis,hepatitis B and diarrhea should be the focal point on prevention and treatment in the future.
