Abstract
Objective: To provide scientific proof for the clinical treatment by studying the morphology of third molars in Qingha region.Methods: 122 extracted of mandibular third molars in Qinghai region were measured,including the length of tooth,height of dental crown,length of dental root,mesiodistal and buccolingual crown diameter,number of cusps and number of roots.Then the data were analyzed using the SPSS software package.Results: The measurements of mandibular third molars' tooth length,coronal length,buccolingual crown diameter had significant difference between men and women in Qinghai region(P0.05).There was a positive correlation between the types of cusps and roots.Conclusion: The morphology of mandibular third molars in Qinghai region varied largely.
