Review of Researches on the Source of the Yellow River Sediment

Based on the description of the concept of sediment souree and the ways to determining of its source location,the major sediment sources and the 'research for coaree sediment regions are focused in the paPer,the research results for both the posihons of eroded sediment in the Yellow River sediment source area and the soil erosion pattems as well as its distribution in the Yellow River basin are briefly discussed,and at the same time, some curmnily weak aspects and issues necessare to study in the foture about the Yellow River sediment source research are put forward.
