A Few Thinking for the Yellow River Sediment Regulation With "Air-Uplift"

Abstract

By thinking about the Yellow River's development in future,studying and analyzing sediment control transport as well,it is obtained that the traditional suspended sediment is a lower energy efficiency mode of carrying capacity and sediment transport by flow.It indicated no considerable increment of sediment transport in adjusting the Yellow River sediment and water recently because of absorbing the energy insufficiently itself.For the future of Yellow River,authors in this paper propose a new concept method for the sediment control,i.e.,utilizing the uplift flow by air,enhancing turbulent flow and accelerating sediment transport aim to regulating the Yellow River.Under now condition,the key work to the Yellow River's sediment regulation is to adjust the river-mouth-reach no higher and make it as scouring as possible.In the paper,the authors proposed some ideas and recommendations for the Yellow River sediment control.
