Seton Drainage and Lay-open Fistulotomy in the Treatment of High Complex Anal Fistula

Abstract

Objective To evaluate a new technique in the treatment of high complex anal fistula. Methods Seton and Lay-open fistulotomy was applied in 76 cases of high complex anal fistula. Results All cases were cured within 30 days. Followed up for 2～3 years, one case relapsed, and no complications were found, such as anal deformation, cutaneous defect, large anal cicatrice, fecal incontinence or anal stricture. The long term cure rate was 98.7%. Conclusion Seton and Lay-open fistulotomy was effective for the treatment of high complex anal fistula.
