Abstract
The purpose is to study a new method for the separation and purification of R-mandelic acid from ferment broth by ion exchange technology. While R-mandelic acid separated from ferment broth at 711-OH anion exchange resin, the optimum dynamic adsorption condition was 6.0~7.0 pH value,70~80 mmol/L R-mandelic acid concentration,8~10 mmol/L phenylglyoxilic acid concentration and(0.5 Bv/h) velocity of flow. The optimum dynamic desorption condition was 2% HCl concentration and 0.5 Bv/h velocity of flow.90.8% R-mandelic acid could be separated from ferment broth by this technicque.
