Abstract

Silage maize variety Zhongbei 412 was bred by maize research institute of Shangxi Beifang Seed Industry with inbred line B88(female) and YH-1(male).The biological yield was 84 433.5 kg·hm-2.The plant density was 67 500～75 000 plant per hectare.This variety expressed high yield,good quality and good resistance.The results of two years region experiments showed that the average biological yield of Zhongbei 412 was 89 696.5 kg·hm-2 which was increased 34.6% than that of Xinduo No.2.Zhongbei 412 had been authorized by Crop Veriety Approval Committee of Shangxi province in 2003.
