Abstract
The studied results to insects and spiders, which were collected from mangrove of Futian of Shenzhen in 1994 and 1999, are reported 96 species of insects and 7 species of spiders were obtained, of which 37 species of insects, i e 35 8% of known species of insects, are enemies to pest insects in 1994 However, only 53 species of insects and 5 species of spiders were obtained, of which 13 species of insects, i e 24% of known species, are enemies to pest insects in 1999 Shannon_Wiener bio_diversity index H and evenness index J is H\-\{1994\}=2 47, H\-\{1999\}=1 64; J\-\{1994\}=0 54, J\-\{1999\}=0 42. The results showed that the environment in 1999 was worse than in 1994 The outbreak of pest insects in mangrove was due to the very bad environment
