GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION ACHIEVEMENTS OF XINJIANG IN 2008 AND ‘PROJECT 358’ARRANGEMENTS BY THE MINISTRY OF LAND AND RESOURCES AND THE PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT OF THE XINJIANG UYGUR AUTONOMOUS REGION

It is a most key year 2008 that realizes goals of the eleventh five-year plan of geological mineral exploration of Xinjiang,and that the investments of all kind of funds maintained stability,the application of high and new technologies continued to expand,the exploration arrangements of finding minerals were reasonable and focused on key projects,specially in new areas for finding ores of ‘Ring-Jungar’ and ‘Ring-Tarim’,the extent of foundation geology was put up steadily,and findings of coal,iron,lead-zinc and nitratite etc.made new advances.In 2009 or in the next period,according to the general work arrangements of ‘project 358’ by MLR PGUAR,geological exploration of Xinjiang will unify to plan and arrange,and carry out in block and explore in whole for realizing the goal of finding ore and exploration to have taking shape in 3 years,inspiring results in 5 years and making great achievements heartening all over the country in 8 years,and truly embody the geological exploration pattern of Great Geology and Great Mining in Xinjiang.
