Cluster Analysis on Semeiology in Peptic Ulcer,A Report of 1036 Cases

Objective:To investigate the grouping law of symptoms and syndrome law in peptic ulcer.Method:According to the principle of clinical epidemiology and its method,the author analyzed and studied the symptoms of peptic ulcer in large sample by cluster analysis.Result:The basic TCM syndromes of peptic ulcer could be summed up into five categories,which were syndrome of insufficiency of spleen-yang,syndrome of stagnation of liver-qi and stomach-qi,syndrome of the stasis blocking the collaterals in the stomach,syndrome of gastric heat flaming,and syndrome of deficient fluid in stomach.Conclusion:The result of cluster analysis is the same as TCM clinical differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome.Statistical method of cluster analysis has important significance on the study of the grouping law of symptoms and syndrome law.
