Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the endothelin(ET),nitrogen monoxidum (NO)and TCM syndromes of peptic ulcer(PU)and provide microcosmic evidences for the syndrome differenti- ation of PU.Methods 150 PU patients were divided into five groups according to the TCM differentiation, ie.Qi stagnation syndrome, stasis heat syndrome,Yin deficiency syndrome, asthenia cold syndrome and blood stasis syndrome,30 cases for each group and 30 healthy cases as control group. The levels of ET and NO of venous blood of empty stomach were measured. Results The level of ET was higher and the level of NO was lower in each group of PU than that in control group, the differences had statistical significance(P0.05, P0.01).The level of ET and NO were higer in groups of excess syndrome than that in groups of deficiency syndrome, the differences had statistical significance(P0.01).Conclusion ET and NO may involved in the patho-physiological process of PU,their levels couhl be supportive objective indexes for dividing the TCM syndromes of PU.
