Abstract
Objective To study the effect of simvastatin on osteoblast activity of human dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs).Methods DPSCs were in vitro cultured.Cells were inoculated in different concentrations of simvastatin.Alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity and the expression of Bone sialoprotein(BSP) were measured. Results Compared with control group, osteoblast activity of human DPSCs were more significant in experiment groups with different concentrations of simvastatin(10-6mol/L、1×10-7mol/L、1×10-8mol/L() P0.05).The maximum effect on the activity was observed at the concentration of 1 ×10-7mol/L.Conclusion Optimal concentration of simvastatin can improve the osteoblast activity of human DPSCs.
