Effects of pain state of patients with radical gastrectomy under general anesthesia complicate with epidural anesthesia

Objective To assess the the influence of pain degree of radical gastrectomy patients received general anesthesia complicate with epidural anesthesia. Methods One hundred radical gastrectomy patients were randomly divided into two groups, general anesthesia group and general combined epidural anesthesia group (combined group), each group of 50 cases. The patient was sent to recovery room (PACU) after anesthesia, the VAS score was recorded. In the PACU period, patients need to drip morphine, until VAS scores≤1 to stop, the dosage of morphine was recorded at the end. Results VAS score and morphine consumption in combined group were all less than those of general anesthesia group (P 0.05). Conclusion In gastric cancer radical mastectomy combined application of general anesthesia epidural block anesthesia can reduce the pain of patients.
