Abstract

Utilizing the solid potassium ferrate prepared in our laboratory, the effect and impacts of removing 1\|chlorophenol from water with ferrate were stuolied. The results proved that a dose for potassium ferrate 60?mg/L can remove 99.3% of 4?mg/L 1\|chlorophenol for a 10?min oxidation duration. The optimal pH range is 9—10 for ferrate oxidizing 1\|chlorophenol. The reductive and oxidative reaction between ferrate and 1\|chlorophenol is the kinetics with approximately second order.
