Abstract
Potassium ferrate(Ⅵ) with high purity, a new type water treatment agent, was prepared by hypochlorous salt oxidation to treat wastewater. The results showed that 99% of potassium ferrate(Ⅵ) could be obtained in its optimization. Qualitative analysis of potassium ferrate(Ⅵ)was conducted with IR spectrum. Quantitative analysis of potassium ferrate(Ⅵ)was conducted with oxidation-reduction titration. Potassium ferrate(Ⅵ) could be used to remove COD, turbidity and ammonia-nitrogen in wastewater.
