Abstract

This paper fosuses on the cognitive and cultural features of metaphor from the viewpoint of cognitive linguistics.As an important component of cognitive linguistics,studies on metaphor are close in relation to culture.Metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon,but also a cultural phenomenon.The comprehension of metaphor to a large extent depends on the mastery of the target languages culture.
