Abstract

Objective To observe the advese reaction and immune effect induced by adjuvant-free rabies vaccine for human use.Methods Immunize healthy adults exposed to rabies virus with adjuvant-free rabies vaccine according the schedule for routine post-exposure immunization,of whom 41 with Vero cell-derived vaccine and 32 with hamster kidney cell-derived vaccine.Observe local and systemic adverse reactions within 72 h after immunization.Collect the serum samples on days 7 and 14 after the first dose for determination of neutralizing antibody by RFFIT.Results No severe local or systemic adverse reactions were observed after immunization.On day 14 after the first dose,both the antibody positive conversion rates of the subjects immunized with Vero cell-and hamster kidney cell-derived vaccine were 100%,and the neutralizing antibody titers were 7.29 and 6.35 IU/ml respectively.Conclusion Adjuvant-free rabies vaccine showed good immunogenicity.
