Abstract

Effects of Nanyang's ecological condition on chemical components and aroma substances in different genotypic flue-cured tobacco leaves were studied. Results indicated that there was no significant differences between most chemical components among different genotypes planted in Nanyang. The content of potassium in Yunyan85,Yunyan87,NC89,and Zhongyan98 were higher, while that of chlorine were lower. Aroma substances in various tobacco leaves were basically the same, but the content vary. The content of benzyl alcohol, linalool, phenyl ethyl alcohol, solanone, geranyl acetone, megastigmatrieonels were higher in Yunyan85,while that of indole was lower. NC89 had more furans, while Zhongyan98 had more content of 5-methyl-2-furfural,β-damascone,neophytadiene,indole,megastigmatrieonels,dihydroactinidiolide. The total content of aroma substantces except neophytadiene was higher in Yunyan85,NC89,and Zhongyan98 but lower in K326 and 9717. In summary,Yunyan85,NC89,and Zhongyan98 exhibited better leave qualities and were favorable for introduction and cultivation in Nanyang tobacco zone.
