Abstract

Nanometer titanium dioxide was modified with surface active gent,then mixed with polyurethane emulsion to prepare Nano-TiO2/polyurethane compound finishing agent. The effect of mass fraction of Nano-TiO2on properties of compound emulsion and film was studied. The result shows the viscosity of compound emulsion is lower than that of polyurethane emulsion and decrease with the increase of mass fraction of Nano-TiO2. The tensile strength of film increased firstly and then decreased with the increasing of mass fraction of Nano-TiO2,and highest when 3%. The antibacterial and anti- ultraviolet properties of film all increase with the improvement of mass fraction of Nano-TiO2. It is showed that Nano-TiO2.disperse well in compound emulsion through the TEM characterization.
