Analysis of Depression of Cancer Survivors in Shanghai Fengxian District

Objective To know the depressive disorders of cancer patients' in Fengxian district of shanghai,and analyze the possible influencing factors and providing a basis of establishing intervention strategies.Methods A total of 110 cancer survivors who lived in communities in fengxian were selected sampling based on the system of shanghai cancer patient Database.they were investigated with questionnaires which included Zung Self-rating Scale evaluate the depression current 103 questionnaires called back and were eligible.The occurrence of depression to determined their influential factors.Results The prevalence rate of depression the cancer survivors in communities was 31.07%.The Analysis showed that educational level and income,physical fitness,scoring KPS discretion,VAS cancer pain degree,diet,exercise,and patients exchanges,doing housework were the important factors and exists significant difference in statistic.patients exchanges,normal diet,regular exercise,often doing household was 9.80%,8.51% 12.24%,16.95%.Conclusion Early intervention for cancer patients and keeping patients education communication,normal diet,exercise regularly,housework can reduce the occurrence of the depression,and improve cancer and the quality of life.
