Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of needling Taixi(KI3) and sham point on the activation of various encephalic region in patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)by functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) technique.Methods:Twenty-four patients with MCI were randomly divided into KI3 group and sham point group. The patients received needling right lateral Taixi(KI3) or sham point according to the experimental method. We applied a block design, which included three blocks, resting state, rotating state and needle-withdrawing state.Scanned images were analyzed by SPM2.Results:Right cingulate gyrus(BA24),bilateral medial frontal gyrus(BA6),and left postcentral gyrus(BA3)were evoked after needling Taixi(KI3).Left postcentral gyrus(BA2),left inferior parietal lobule(BA40),and left cerebellum were evoked after needling sham point. Conclusion:Compared with needling sham point, needling Taixi(KI3) can activate the target-based encephalic region of MCI patients, and has integral adjustment on related encephalic region.
