Abstract
Based on mathematic statistic methods,we studied the characteristics of the climate change in Suzhou city with the data of temperature and precipitation from 1959 to 2008.The results showed that temperature and precipitation both increased during almost 50 years in Suzhou city. The rising rates in temperature and precipitation respectively were 0.25℃/10a and 19.96mm/10a.Seasonal average temperature had an increasing trend, and the fastest increased in winter and spring, the slowest in autumn while it showed a slight decreasing trend in summer. The precipitation of summer and winter showed an obviously increasing trend,in contrast, the precipitation of spring and autumn showed an obviously decreasing trend.
