Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to research the purification procedures of bovine lactoferrin from cows'milk, and to discuss the antibacterial activity of bovine lactoferrin.[Method] Using SP sepharose HP as exchange medium of strong cation, bovine lactoferrin was purified by using AKTA purifier 10 high performance liquid chromatograph.[Result] The results showed that bovine lactoferrin was eluted at 0.85 mol/L NaCl and 7.5 pH value, and the purity was over 90%.The growth of E.coli was evidently suppressed with 5 mg/ml bovine lactoferrin.[Conclusion] This study constructed the purification method of bovine lactoferrin from cows′ milk, and provided bases for large scale production of active bovine lactoferrin.
