Abstract
Objective To study the expression of S100A4 and matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma(TCCB) tissues and its relationship with tumor invasion and metastasis.Method The S100A4 and MMP-2 were detected by immunohistochemical method in TCCB.Results The positive rate of S100A4 and MMP-2 in TCCB of were 60% and 55% respectively, while no expression or micro-expression in normal tissue. The expression of S100A4 and MMP-2 in TCCB was relative to infiltrating depth and grade(P0.01),S100A4 and MMP-2 expression was relative in TCCB(r=0.66,P0.01).Conclusions The expression S100A4 and MMP-2 in TCCB is raised, its over-expression is associated with the invasion and metastasis of TCCB.
