Abstract

There is great difficulty in logging interpretation and evaluation on carbonate reservoir types. Based on the parametric sensitivity of pores, caves and fractures which can reflecting the features of carbonate reservoirs by use of the regular logging data, the acoustic ratio, density ratio, neutron porosity ratio and lateral depth resistivity ratio were selected as four main parameters for classifying the reservoir types. In light of the parametric statistical analysis on 400 layers of different reservoirs in 90 wells, this study determines the criterion of Upper Paleozoic carbonate reservoir types in the Daniudi gas field, and also describes the characteristics of log response of different carbonate reservoir types. According to the test results obtained from 20 wells,it is verified that multiple parameters are practical in actual uses for identifying reservoir types and the results match very well with those by the geological study.
