Abstract

Two hundred and fifty avian broilers of 10-day-old were divided into 5 groups randomly. All groups except negative control group were injected NDV-F48E9 at 21-day-old,then the Chinese herbal medicine Qinkangsan was add to basal diet at 22 to 25 days age.The supplement dosages were 0.5%(Ⅰ),1.0%(Ⅱ),2.0%(Ⅲ),0(negative control group,Ⅳ),and 0(positive control group,Ⅴ),respectively. The concentrations of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,and CD4+/CD8+T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood were measured at 20,22,24,28 days old by using the flow cytometry, respectively. The results were shown as following:on 22 days old,the concentrations of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,and CD4+/CD8+T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood in all of the groups(except negative control group)were significantly reduced when compared with those of 20 days old. While on 24 days old,the concentrations of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood in all of the treatment groups were significantly increased when compared with those of groupⅤ(P0.01).The results indicated thatQinkangsancould promote the growth of T lymphocytes, and increase the ratio of CD4+/CD8+.Thus,the Chinese herbal medicineQinkangsancould increase the cell immune capability of poultry.
