Abstract
Objective To investigate the dynamic levels changes of serum neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and calcium (Ca2+) in early prognostic evaluation of moderate and severe neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Methods The levels of serum NSE and calcium Ca2+ were detected in mild, moderate and severe HIE in 1st day,3rd day and 7th day after birth, and compared with non-HIE group. The changes and significances of NSE and Ca2+ were analyzed. Results No significant difference was found between mild HIE group and the control group (0.25P0.5);Compared the moderate group and severe group with the control group, there was a significantly difference(P0.01).In the first day after birth, compared with the level of serum NSE and Ca2+ in mild, moderate and severe HIE group, there was a significant differences(P0.05);the level of serum NSE and Ca2+in moderate group compare with severe group of in 1st day,3rd day and 7th day after birth, significant differences were found(P0.01). Conclusions Serum levels of Ca2+ and NSE are negatively correlated, there was a positive correlation with the severity of HIE,and it can be used as the early objective indicators of diagnosis of moderate and severe HIE.
