Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of color doppler ultrasond on diagnosis of portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT) in primary hepatic carcinoma(HCC).Methods The data of 50 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus were retrospectively analyzed, and were compared with the data of 50 cases in the normal control group. Results The sonographic graph showed that portal vein diameter was obviously enlarged and that blood flow was beamed thinning or filling defect, even interrupted.Arterial blood flow spectrum was seen in tumor thrombus of 12 cases(24.0%).Portal vein transformation was seen in 18 cases(36.0%).Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound can not only accurately diagnose HCC,but also can reflect the morphology of portal vein and hepatic artery and hemodynamic changes. It has important clinical value for the diagnosis of HCC combined with PVTT.
