Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate effectiveness and safety of parecoxi-sodium treatment in endoscopic nasal surgery patients for postoperative analgesia. METHODS 40 patients,ASAⅠorⅡ,aged 18-65yr,scheduled for elective endoscopic nasal surgical operation were randomly divided into two groups(n=20):parecoxib-sodium group(groupⅠ)received intravenous parecoxib -sodium 40 mg immediately after operation and control group(groupⅡ)received intravenous equivalence saline at the same time.. The morphine hydrochloride consumption at 24 h after operation; the number of unsatisfied demand and the number of successfully delivered doses; the intensity of pain was measured using VAS score(0-100,0=no pain,100=worst pain); the adverse effects; the patients' global evaluation of the postoperative analgesia and blood coagulation function before and after administration were recorded and compared among the three groups. RESULTS The morphine hydrochloride consumption at 24 h after operation, the percentage of the patients who need postoperative analgesia, and the VAS scores of the patients after operation were significantly less in parecoxib-sodium group than those in control group(P0.05). At the same time, the percentage of the patients in parecoxib-sodium group who considered the postoperative analgesia satisfied was higher than that in control group(P0.05). Compared with control group, the morphine hydrochloride consumption at 24 h after operation, the percentage of the patients who need postoperative analgesia, and the VAS scores of the patients after operation were significantly less in parecoxib-sodium group. There are no significant difference in coagulation between parecoxib-sodium group and control group(P0.05). And the percentage of patients' adverse effects in parecoxib-sodium group was more reduced than those in control group(P0.05),either. CONCLUSION Parecoxib 40 mg given in vein after endoscopic nasal surgery can reduce the morphine hydrochloride consumption and the percentage of patients' adverse effects, improve postoperative analgesia.
