Abstract

Objective:To investigate the changes of super oxide dixmutase(SOD)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)content in the kidney of rats exposed to excess lead following the time,and explore the effects of Lead on the Kidney.Methods:SOD activity in the kidney was measured by nitrat coloration and MDA content by TBA method.Results:Compared with control group,the activity of SOD in the kidney was markedly lower in low-dose group after 30 days exposure,and 14 days in high-dose group( P 0 05).MDA content in the kidney of control group was significantly lower than the high-dose group after 30 days.Conclusion:During chronic lead poisoning,lead poisoning results in the decrease of SOD activity and the increase of MDA content as time goes by.
