Abstract

Objective To investigate the combined detection of novel aspartie proteinase A(Napsin A),thyroid transcription factor-1(TTF-1) and P63 protein to the differential diagnosis of lung squamous cell cancer and adenocarcinoma. Methods The immunohistochemistry EnVision two-step detection was used to detect the expressions of Napsin A,TTF-1 and P63 protein in 178 patients with lung cancer. Results The total positive rates of Napsin A,TTF-1 and P63 protein in lung cancer tissue were 44.94%,53.93% and 40.44%,which showed significant differences(P0.05).The positive rates of Napsin A and TTF-1 were significantly higher in lung adenocarcinoma tissue(81.25% and 79.17%) than those in lung squamous cell tissue(0)(P0.01).The positive rate of P63 was significantly lower in lung adenocarcinoma tissue(10.41%) than that in lung squamous cell tissue(96.20%)(P0.01).The sensitivity and specificity of Napsin A to lung adenocarcinoma were higher than those of TTF-1,but there was no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of Napsin A,TTF-1 and P63 has a great value to the differential diagnosis of lung squamous cell cancer and adenocarcinoma.
