Curative Efficacy of Ligustrazine Hydrochloride Injection vs.Danshen Drip Infusion for Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the curative efficacy of Ligustrazine Hydrochloride Injection vs.Danshen drip infusion for acute cerebral infarction and the improvement of neurological function induced by the two drugs so as to further explore the function of the two drugs.METHODS: 129 patients with acute cerebral infarction treated in our hospital during Jan.-Dec.period of 2012 were assigned to either treatment group(67 cases) or control group(62 cases).Both groups were given symptomatic treatment including dehydrants for lowering intracranial pressure,medications for controlling blood pressure and blood sugar and brain-protective agents;however,the treatment group received add-on Ligustrazine Hydrochloride Injection(120 mg) that added to 5% Glucose Injection(250 ml) iv gtt daily for 14 days and the control group received add-on Danshen drip infusion(250 ml) iv gtt for 14 days.National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) score and hemorheology in the two groups before and after treatment were compared.RESULTS: After treatment of 14 days,the total effective rates in the treatment group and the control group were 97.1%(65/67) and 77.42%(48/62),respectively,showing significant differences between the two groups(P0.05);the treatment group had significantly better improvement than in the control group in both NIHSS score(P0.01) and hemorheology(P0.05).CONCLUSION: Ligustrazine Hydrochloride Injection is safe and effective for acute cerebral infarction,and it has remarkable efficacy in lowering blood lipid with satisfactory clinical efficacy and practical and recommended value.
