Abstract
Objective To discuss the contrast enhanced spiral CT diagnostic value in the ovarian cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma. Methods CT findings in 38 patients with pathologically-proved ovarin cystadenocarcinoma(cystadenoma)were retrospectively analyzed .Results 5 patients were serous cystadenoma , 3 patients were mucinous cystadenoma, 19 patients were serous cystadenocarcinoma, 11 patients were cystadenocarcinoma .The tumors were classified as cystic (typeⅠ, n=8), cyst-solid (typeⅡ, n=32) and solid types (type Ⅲ, n=2), cyst-solid type was further subdivided into subtype Ⅱa (mainly cystic, n=14),Ⅱb (mixed , n=15) and Ⅱc (mainly solid, n=3). On enhanced scan, type Ⅱand Ⅲ were obviously enhanced. Conclusion The ovarian cystadenoma often present as typeⅠ, while cystadenocarcinoma often present as type Ⅱ, the interior features of the tumors is more clearly revealed by contrast enhanced spiral CT, it has an important clinical value in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the ovarian cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma.
