Abstract

Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is described as chronic non-specific gastrointestinal disease of unknown etiology.It contains ulcerative colitis(UC) and Crohn's disease(CD).Disequilibrium between inflammatory cytokine factor and anti-inflammatory factor play an important role in genesis of IBD.IL-23 which belongs to pro-inflammatory factors which takes part in the genesis of IBD.The purpose of the paper is to describe the function of IL-23 in the genesis,development and treatment of IBD.
