Clinical Observations on the Treatment of 93 Cervical Spondylopathy by Dazhui Blood-letting Puncturing and Cupping

Purpose To investigate the curative effect on different types of cervical spondylopathy of Dazhui blood-letting puncturing and cupping plus cervical Jiaji acupuncture. Methods Ninety-three patients with simple, nerve root or vertebroarterial cervical spondylopathy were treated by Dazhui blood-letting puncturing and cupping in combination with cervical Jiaji acupuncture. Chinese medical diagnosis based on syndromic differentiation was made at the same time. The results were compared with those in a control group. Results The total effective rate was 92.47% in the treatment group, which was significantly different from that in the control group (P0.025). Conclusion Dazhui blood-letting puncturing and cupping in combination with cervical Jiaji acupuncture can treats cervical spondylopathy effectively and has a better effect on simple and nerve root cervical spondylopathy. Especially this treatment has a good effect on the patients with excess syndrome based on Chinese medical classification. Large amount of bleeding by tapping acupuncture can raise the cure rate well.
