Abstract
Purpose To investigate 3D CE MRP in displaying portal venous system in portal hypertension. Methods 62 patients with portal hypertension were performed 3D CE MRP with Siemen's 1.5 T MR scanner. Results 3D CE MRP could display above 3~6 degree intrahepatic portal vein, the main portal vein(PV),splenic vein(SPV),collaterals and varicosis clearly of all the cases in portal hypertension.Superior mesenteric vein(SMV) were displayed in 59 cases. The findings of MRP were same as the operation excluded 2 cases which were not visualized by the operative problem. Conclusion 3D CE MRP can demonstrate the pathologic changes of portal venous system in portal hypertension exactly.Combining with 3D CE MRP and breath hold MRI can be considered as an efficacy imaging method in diagnosis and treatment of portal hypertension.
