Abstract
In order to study the 3-month follow up effectiveness of biventricular pacing therapy in patients with congestive heart failure, ten patients with congestive heart failure received biventricular pacemaker. At baseline parameters were evaluated:clinical symptoms and heart function. Results: Heart failure in New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class decreased from 3.44±0.52 to 1.50±0.72 ( P 0.01). Crackles heart failure symptoms score decreased from 8.1±3.29 to 1.4±1.74 ( P 0.01). Left ventricular end-diastolic dimension decreased from 67.00±6.68 mm to 62.75±5.92 mm ( P 0.05) . Left ventricular ejection fraction increased from 0.35±0.07 to 0.43±0.10 ( P 0.05). Conclusion:Biventricular pacing could improve heart function, quality of life and reversal left ventricular remodeling.
