Status Quo and Analysis of School PE in Hainan Province

By the ways of questionnaire, interview and statistics, the authors made an investigation on the status quo of the school PE and health education in 172 elementary and secondary schools in Hainan Province. The result shows that the school PE in Hainan province is developing in a favorable direction. But there still exist some problems regarding the outdated modes of thought, inefficient practice of PE and health education, low teaching quality, insufficient funds and facilities, inadequate capable teachers, etc. Some suggestions for improvement are put forward.
